Lisa and Chris - Reception Highlights

We had so much fun shooting Chris and Lisa's wedding up in Malibu. Like I said before this couple was amazing! We had a great time and thought they did a wonderful job planning and decorating this wedding. Make sure to notice all the little details that went into their day! It really was a cool venue too.

So this is part of their highlight video showing the start of their reception including some of the photo session and their grand entrance. Make sure to watch all the way so you can see the BEAUTIFUL bride and groom!!

Our 1 year

So, since it's Thanksgiving, I thought I'd post a video regarding something Jared and I are thankful for: each other! I know it sounds cheesy but I think it's important to remember good times and remember how we felt when we first were married. I know it's only been a year but in some ways I can't believe it's only been a year! Our 1 year anniversary was just a couple weeks ago, November 10th and we have had so much fun. We actually just watched our wedding video so we could remember and there was so much we had forgotten. We had to keep pausing it to laugh at stuff that we had no idea had happened!

One thing we have enjoyed so much is just working together. Every wedding we get to experience together reminds us of our own promises to each other and our own fun day! We are just so thankful to live in a country where we can have the freedom to pursue our dreams and we're so thankful for our life together. I've put together a little highlight reel of our wedding day so you can experience a bit of our wedding :)

For our anniversary we went camping up in Julian and had a fun adventure out at the Salton Sea. It actually rained the second night we were there and I loved every minute of it. Rarely does it rain in southern California and rarely are we both able to be together enjoying it when it does. So for us, to be awake in the middle of the night listening to the wind and rain in a tent, it's like a taste of heaven! I would absolutely love to do a "trash the dress" shoot in the rain someday if anyone is ever willing!

Anyway, stay tuned next week because I still have a few more weddings to post about and other fun stuff coming soon...yippee!

DV Expo

Warning: Major nerdiness ahead.
So a couple weeks ago Jared and I and our friends Seth and Deseree from Zelo Photography headed up to L.A. to go to the DV Expo. For videographers, this is like heaven on earth! You get to check out all the latest digital video technology and equipment and you even get to play with it! We were running around like little children...and drooling a little. Our Amazon.com wishlist just got a whole lot bigger!
Of course none of us brought our still cameras so we only have iphone pictures from Dez (thanks Dez!) but you get the idea!
Here we are looking way too giddy - like our badges? We look all official and everything!
Here I am playing with the DV multi rig Pro! We definitely know these next few pictures look really nerdy but until you've tried using some of these things, don't you judge us!
Here's Jared playing with the Glidecam X-10! So anyone who wants to buy us a Christmas present...here is what we want:
This is the same equipment just from a different angle. You start sweating in it pretty much immediately, yikes! BUT, it's pretty much the most amazing thing ever. That and the Brevis (which is sexy, right Seth?) add that to the Christmas list as well :)
droooooool!
It was a very educational day. We didn't win any prizes from the drawing but we had a lot of fun getting inspired. My mind is blown!

Marc and Cari - Reception Highlights

Hey everyone! So after our barrage of teaser trailers, here's a longer clip of some pre-reception highlights from Marc and Cari. You can see their teaser here.

Marc and Cari are a fun couple who definitely have a lot of friends and family who care about them, that was so evident throughout the night with the toasts and just watching them interact with everyone that night. Their wedding was beautiful, their centerpieces awesome and their dessert table delectable! So enjoy a piece of their highlight video and take a glimpse into their special day!

Congratulations Marc and Cari, we enjoyed working with you!

Thanks :)

We got a little email from Lisa and Chris and I just wanted to share it, it was so sweet! And this is only after they've seen the teaser, just wait until they've seen the whole video!!

Danielle and Jared,
I want you to know that I have watched the teaser trailer at least 15 times already and shared it with everyone I know (including making everyone in the office watch it). I am just in LOVE with what you have done! Seriously, I can not stop smiling. The video clip is absolutely beautiful, and so is the music!! Now I'm like, "I should have just let them pick the music for the whole video!" Everyone I have shown has fallen in love with it too. A few girls here in the office even started tearing up. So, well done. :)
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Lisa

Thanks Lisa, you guys were amazing to work with and we can't wait until you see your video!

Lisa and Chris - Teaser

Hey all, we're full of teasers this week with one more to go!

Here's a teaser trailer from Chris and Lisa's wedding. We went up to Malibu to shoot this wedding; the venue was amazing, the couple was amazing and we had a great time! We used music from the movie The Island for the musical bride who arranged a piece for her own wedding.

Enjoy.

Stay tuned for more!

Coming soon...

Jared and I and our friends Seth and Dez (of Zelo Photography and Drag'n'Drop Video) are currently working on a little project for a small film festival in LA. It's actually going to be a 3 minute film on 8mm film (hence the name 50 foot reels). After the show we'll post the video.

Stay tuned...

Eric and Tracy's Ceremony Highlights

Eric and Tracy are an awesome and fun couple from Chicago. They had a destination wedding out here in San Diego on Sept. 27th. Of course they were probably hoping for one of our normally blazing hot and sunny San Diego days but that was a chilly weekend. Everything turned out beautifully though. We put together a fun highlight video of their ceremony for them to show at their second reception in Chicago! They said that everyone absolutely loved it! That makes us happy :)

The original version also includes a "growing up" slide show, but here we're just showing the ceremony highlight video. Be sure to notice the guy on the boat flashing the wedding in the background after their vows...I guess that's what can happen if your wedding is outside! A little comic relief never hurt anyone.

So watch and enjoy!
